I don’t know about you… but the idea of living in a medieval castle really appeals to me. Living without electricity, but instead the power of fire. Growing my own food. Being completely self sufficient. Ahhh, a dream I hope to achieve one day!
In the meantime, I’ll have to settle for less of that. But I can still enjoy the dream!
On the house that we’ve been working on, we put in a new interlock patio today… and because I didn’t have the patience to do more interlock I instead carried the bricks from where they were dropped, to the patio.

After abour 25 minutes of carrying bricks I was admittedly exhausted… it’s not fun lugging bricks… but then… an idea…
Bricks are a lot like Lego. Adult Lego. So then I got the great idea…. I’m going to build a castle!
Well, let me tell you… I got so into building this, I was able to carrying 2x as many bricks as I was before and was having way too much fun to even realize I was getting tired! It took an hour to move 1/8th of the bricks… I removed the remaining 7/8th in 2 hours!
And here’s the result….
It consists of roughly 400 bricks!
It’s about 5 feet long.

The left tower is about 3 feet tall.
And the other is 2 1/3.
The wall is 2 feet tall.
Ahhh, and this picture to help me feel what it would be like in my real castle. Haha.
I drank an AMP Energy Juice while doing it… but I think the lesson learned… is if you have something boring to do… make it exciting in whatever way you can!
Maybe you too can have your own castle one day!
