The Doomsday Clock Turned Back!

The worlds reaction to the situation in Haiti has had an additional effect. We’ve turned back the clock on our own destruction by one minute! On Thursday, the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists turned back the Doomsday Clock to 11:54 or 6 Minutes till Midnight.

The Doomsday Clock is a symbolic clock that was started in 1947 to be a warning to humanity that the closer it gets to midnight, the more likely a global disaster by our own hand is.

During the Cold War it was 3 minutes to midnight, which is the closest it’s been. The furthest from midnight was 17 minutes in 1991 when the US and USSR signed an agreement to reduce nuclear arms.

In 2007 the clock was updated to reflect not only our demise via nuclear weapons, but to include climate change.

The “Get Outta My Head” Playlist

As human’s were all emotional creatures. Some of us develop attachments to others. Some of those attachments develop into deeper emotions. Sometimes things end before that happens, and it makes things a little easier. But, as emotional creatures, when things we become attached to go away, it takes time for all of us to move on.

Music is a common enemy and aid in the healing process. A good ‘love’ song can trigger great feelings that ultimately leave you feeling depressed… but a good ‘Fuck You’ song can cause you to feel better.

We all have moments where we’ll remember those past attachments, and sometimes they suck… so this is some of the music I listen to when any of my exs jump back into my consciousness in a negative way.

Happy – N.E.R.D
This is the ultimate mentality to take. Check out the lyrics, this song is epic for getting those negative feelings out of your head!

Fuck You Lucy – Atmosphere
Any song with the title ‘Fuck You Lucy’ has got to be great. Worth a few listens to get your head right.

You Give Love a Bad Name – Bon Jovi
Ahh, a classic. It’s one of those songs everyone knows, and it always puts me in a good mood. Should do the same for you.

Beautiful U R – Deborah Cox
Okay okay, I know it’s not exactly what you expected me to post here… and the lyrics are really more for the female gender. But fuck it, I like this song lol.

Evil Woman – Electric Light Orchestra
If she’s got you down for any reason… she’s an evil woman! Even if she isn’t, in that moment it’s best to think of her that way.

Disconnected – Face to Face
A great song by a great band. The song is great for any occasion, but this situation in particular I find it helps.

Everything’s Going to be Alright – James Doman
This track (by a Canadian DJ) is really good. The video… even better. Guaranteed to make you forgot about the ’7′ on your mind!

Who’s Your Daddy? – Benny Benassi (NSFW!!)
One video sure to make you forget… umm wait what was her name?

99 Problems – Jay Z
Nevermind his new stuff, this is still one my favourites by Jay Z. 99 Problems, but a bitch ain’t one.

We all have moments of weakness where we miss someone from out past, but it’s short lived and listening to some of this stuff can definitely help!

(BTW, the biggest attachment that I lost was my teddy bear that I got as a kid when I was in for life saving surgery. I still wish I had that bear. Meant a lot to me.)

Maybe It’s Time for a New Mic?

So the other day @Tylerconium interviewed me on his new vloging/Audio series. We talked about social media, Swingcat Productions and mispronounced names! My mic is clearly a piece of shit that needs to be replaced… so that’s going to be written down as a thing to do this weekend!

Just want to thank Tyler. It was fun and I look forward to doing it again on a different topic! Make sure to check him out at http://Tylerconium.com or on Twitter @Tylerconium.

Our interview went long and Youtube limits to 10 minutes. So Tyler posted the first 5 minutes as a teaser, and the rest can be heard on the link below the video.

Vanilla is the Sexiest Scent to Older Men

I don’t think I’ll ever have an erection again after seeing this.

Jay Triano… You’re on notice!

Dear Mr. Triano,

It has come to my attention that you may not in fact be ready to coach an NBA team. We’ve blamed the team’s lack of passion. We’ve blamed all the new faces having issues developing chemistry, but this is not the first time your team has built a big lead and then blown it. Should this continue, we request that you tender your resignation. That, or my next “Mr.” blog post will start with “Mr. Colangelo”.

Consider this a written warning.

Thank you,

The Fans.
